Safe social networking platform
Zootom is a safe social networking platform (app and website) designed for kids aged 6 to 12 and teens aged 13 to 17. These age groups have been carefully chosen to allow children to develop naturally without facing any undue outside influences and to prevent cyberbullying. The Zootom app is regulated and vetted constantly to keep users safe.
Zootom provides a fun and welcoming environment where kids and teens can establish profiles, share photos and communicate between friends safely and securely.
We have lots of safety features in the app including a prompt to our users to limit screen time to a maximum of two hours to prevent addictive behaviour patterns developing. Another feature for ensuring our community is by preventing children from sharing any personal information on our social media. We have many other unique safety features including, keep an eye on our community, we have 24/7 human moderators.
Zootom is a completely free app with no in-app purchases.

Separate community for kids and teens
We have created separate environments for each age group to allow them to communicate freely with their own peers. Each group faces their own unique challenges as they grow, mixing within their own group allows them to share and support each other, addressing issues entirely relevant to their lives.
Zootom has 24/7 moderators who will monitor each and every newly added profile and verification video. They respond immediately to any reported images, inappropriate text messages, comments, and chats. Each reported incident will be scrutinised and the moderator is empowered to take immediate steps to make sure such breaches are not shared if warranted.
If we, at Zootom find any suspicious accounts, then they will be permanently banned.

Everything is informed
We share all information to parents via email. When ever an activity is made by your kid, it will be received via your registered email. You can opt to turn off the push notifications within the app through settings.
Parents guidance is important
Children aged 6 – 12s accounts are created by their parents. The parent is required to feature alongside their child in a short introductory video to ensure that the user is genuine and that they have their parents’ consent.
Once this has been verified, you can stay involved in their online life as much or as little as you feel is needed by teaching your child to post pictures, add comments, and offer help finding friends. You should always remind your child to not share personal information online if you intend to leave them to it though and it’s also important that they know to only use apps and websites that are appropriate for their age.
You can check our Safety guide e-book for better awareness of the internet and safety but we hope that this has helped introduce you to Zootom where socialising matters and safety reassures.
